Is Kaka going to Real?

AC Milan have been quick to respond to reports of Kaka expressing his desire to leave San Siro for Real Madrid. Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani insisted on the club’s official website (www.acmilan.com) on Monday that the Brazilian playmaker will be a Milan player next season. Galliani said Kaka will be there with the rest of the team when the pre-season training begins on July 23rd and will also play in the European Super Cup final against Sevilla in August followed by the world club Championship in December.

Now, would someone please explain to me why a player of Kaka’s caliber is so adamant on going to Real. Given, Real has a glorious past and can make any club look smaller when compared to its history. But, what matters most is the recent record. Ronaldo, David Beckham, Roberto Carlos, Luis Figo are all names to reckon with and were infact bigger stars before they made the dreaded choice of becoming a part of the famous Galacticos which was touted as the dream team but failed to conquer anything but people’s imagination. All the stars mentioned above departed Bernabeu on a sad note. More recently, coach Fabio Capello helped the club end its 3 yr drought by winning La Liga title. Expecting him to get a big reward, oh no…the poor guy was sacked. The reason…Well, the fans didn’t like his game plan and style of play as told by Mr. President..Ramon Calderon. Well, the saving grace is the 6 million euros compensation Capello will receive from the club. This is the respect or tribute the great club gives the people associated with it.

Moving on to Milan. The Italian club is also one of the most successful clubs but what makes it stand out is the support it gives to players. Their legendary captain Paolo Maldini recently turned 38 and is obviously past his peak but the club offered him a 1 yr contract extension. Interestingly, Maldini had announced his decision to retire after the last season. Another live example is striker Andriy Shevchenko. The Ukrainian international was one of the most dreaded players and was considered the best in business by many. Sheva has obviously not reached even 1/10th of his form after a move to Chelsea last season. Despite the shift in loyalties, Milan has publicly announced that its doors are always open for Sheva and they will only be too happy to take him back.

So, Real might have the money…(they offered 50 million pounds for Kaka which is the most expensive in football history) but Milan can offer a player much more.
Why I am especially focusing on Kaka is because of all that I have read about him and his way of living which is way above an average footballer. A religious and spiritual player like Kaka would look beyond money. If it’s the challenge of playing in a different league with a different team…my gut feeling says he should wait for another 2-3 seasons….after all he’s only 25!

I totally agree with u…. although people around d world are going ga-ga over man u’s ronaldo…but purists will always swear by perfectionists like zidanes, figos and the kakas of the soccer world.
Ronaldo is all fame and no… or let’s say some talent…but when talented players like kaka go stray or try to…. then it really hurts.
I don’t think that kaka is looking 4 new competition as Serie A season is gonna by crazy difficult…especially with juventus’ return.
I think money and the prospect of donning the real Madrid jersey is too much of a temptation.
But seriously y are real so hell bent to destroy kaka’s future?????
They have all the strikers…that money can buy…even their defenders can pass off as strikers in any league of the world.
And if it’s about history then Milan have a greater past to flaunt than most of other clubs.
Let’s hope for football’s sake….that kaka doesn’t leaves Milan atleast 4 the next 2 seasons…and when he decides to…then maybe a team like barca…maybe.
Btw a well written blog…. Let’s hope that more soccer fans like u are able to persuade kaka….

Hi Swati...
Well the last time i sat to write something for your blog, GOD witnessed it... the entire 540 words were gobbled up by this internet monster called "The page cannot be displayed"... I have come a long way after that, and here i am on a Sunday morning sitting in Costa coffee, GK-2(flaunting my new WiFi connection) and writing for ur blog...

Well moving on,
Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite, no its not a street in Mexico, Spain or even ColumbiaWell, its the full name of potentially one of the soccer genius of modern era.. KAKA the 25 year old brazilian joined the AC Milan caravan in 2003 from San Diego for $8.5 million. This amount was described by club owner Silvio Berlusconi as peanuts. Surely it was. The attacking midfielder went on to score 10 goals in his debut season. Kaka has so far netted 45 goals in the 138 times hes stepped into the field for Milan.

Now after the brief introduction of the FIFA Pro World Player and UEFA Club Footballer of the Year 2006-07, let me get back to the topic IS KAKA GOING TO REAL .
Speculations have been rife for quite a while that KAKA may part ways with Milan and join not just Real Madrid but English club Chelsea as well but the question is WHY?
Money, fame and and and and .. well I am blank.. I dont understand the reason, KAKA is by far the most talented footballer I have seen.. the way he dribbles, dodges and deceives is simply divine. His journey to the epitome of success has been while playing for Milan and to leave the club and venture to the BIG BAD materialistic world of Real Madrid will require tremendous CHANGE OF PLANS. I am using the term change of plans because.... the 4 years Kaka has spent with Milanhe has got used to the playing style of the team. Now if Kaka joins Real , there will be a complete chain reaction CHANGE OF LEAGUE> CHANGE OF PLAYING STYLE> TRYING TO ADAPT A NEW STYLE> FRUSTATION> DOWNFALL( I CAN be wrong as well).. but with an example like David Beckham in front of me..ahem ahem ill rest my case
The Spanish giants have the all the players money can buy.. (that means big names, bigger EGOS, and even bigger ways to sabotage career). Imagine Kaka in middle of THIS I cant.

Moving on to speculation number 2IS KAKA GOING TO CHELSEA..

Being a hard core Chelsea fan, ill be more than happy( probably scream atop my roof) if KAKA joins Stamford Bridge on the other side being a sports person I cant see talent go WASTED.. even if it means giving up 100 million pounds.(yes thats the amount the Blues are willing to spend on Kaka)
So Mr. Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite A.K.A KAKA.... if you ever want to switch teams, give it a good thinking and you can also check my blog for refrencebut please please please, for the love of god DONT join Real Madrid
